On bathrooms we manage, plumbing and electrical work is subcontracted to Florida-licensed plumbing and electrical contractors (s. 489.113(3)), who pull their own permits. We schedule them and coordinate the inspections.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Pinellas County?

Can you convert a tub to a walk-in shower?
Yes. We remove the tub, build and waterproof the shower and tile it. Any plumbing changes are done by a licensed plumbing contractor who pulls the plumbing permit.
Do I need a permit to remodel a bathroom?
Often, when plumbing, electrical or walls change. Florida's under-$7,500 exemption request doesn't cover plumbing, electrical, structural, mechanical or gas work, or property in a flood hazard area (s. 553.79(1)(g)). Who issues the permit depends on your address (county list). We check with your building department first.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
It depends on the size of the room, the tile and how long fixtures take to arrive. You'll get a timeline with your written estimate.
Can you add grab bars or make a bathroom easier to use?
Yes. Grab bars, a curbless or low-curb shower, a comfort-height toilet and better lighting are common requests, and we plan where grab bars will be anchored before the walls are closed up.
