Water damage restoration in Clearwater and St. Petersburg

A burst pipe, a roof leak or water from a storm: we remove the water, dry the house out, and then put it back together, so you deal with one team from the first call to the final walkthrough. We work across Clearwater, St. Petersburg and the rest of Pinellas County.

Dry it out. Build it back.

What we do

How we handle it.

Water removal and drying

We extract standing water and dry walls, floors and framing. The EPA says to dry water-damaged areas within 24 to 48 hours to help prevent mold growth, so the first days matter.

Tear-out done carefully

Wet drywall, insulation, flooring and cabinets that can't be saved come out, and only as much as the damage requires. Pinellas County warns that unnecessary demolition can push a home in a flood zone over its substantial-damage limit.

The rebuild

Drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinets, doors and trim put back, with the building permits for our work. As a Florida Certified General Contractor, repair and rebuilding is work our license covers (s. 489.105(3)).

Licensed partners where needed

Plumbing leaks and wet electrical systems are handled by licensed plumbing and electrical contractors on projects we manage (s. 489.113(3)). We are not mold assessors or remediators; mold work over 10 square feet that needs those licenses goes to a licensed mold professional (s. 468.8411).

Patrick and Dylan completely remodeled my house after Hurricane Helene. They were very professional, showed up on time, and worked with my timeline and the permitting process. Patrick is truly talented, can fix anything, and has a great eye for design. He presented me with ideas for the bathrooms and kitchen that were an upgrade to what I had previously and made the house pop. I have received so many compliments on the new look.

Questions

Common questions.

How fast does water damage need to be dried?

The EPA says to dry water-damaged areas and items within 24 to 48 hours to prevent mold growth. Drywall can sometimes be dried in place if it isn't swollen and the seams are intact; wet insulation and ceiling tiles should be discarded and replaced, per the EPA's guidance.

Is it safe to go back in or turn the power on?

Not until you're sure the electricity is off. The CDC says that if you'd have to stand in water to reach the main power switch, call an electrician to turn it off, and to have an electrician check the electrical system before turning the power on again. On jobs we manage, that's a licensed electrical partner.

Do I need a permit to repair water damage in St. Pete or Clearwater?

In St. Petersburg, the city says removing storm-damaged drywall, insulation, flooring and cabinets needs no permit, but a permit is required before they are repaired or replaced. Where Pinellas County is the building department, it allows limited demolition of damaged drywall before a permit. Clearwater says replacing any wall needs a permit; its pages don't address tear-out, so call (727) 562-4567 first. Your city decides.

Will a big water repair trigger flood-zone rules?

It can if your home is in a flood zone. St. Petersburg applies its 49% rule to all repairs, even when the damage isn't from flooding. Clearwater uses 50% of market value, and unincorporated Pinellas uses 49%. We give you an itemized estimate your building department can use.

Can you work with my insurance company?

We'll give you and your adjuster a written, itemized estimate. Florida law bars contractors from interpreting your policy or adjusting your claim unless they hold a public adjuster license (s. 489.147(2)(d)), and post-loss benefits under residential policies issued on or after January 1, 2023 can't be assigned to a contractor (s. 627.7152(13)). For deadlines and coverage, contact your insurer or the Florida Department of Financial Services (1-877-693-5236). This is general information, not legal advice.

How much does water damage restoration cost?

Angi puts water damage restoration in Tampa at about $4,606 on average, with most jobs between $1,962 and $7,250 (updated August 2026). Flood or sewage water costs more to clean up than a clean-water leak. See our water damage repair cost guide, or text us photos for an estimate.

Who do I call first for a broken water line?

For a water main break or utility emergency in Clearwater, the city's 24-hour line is (727) 462-6633. St. Petersburg lists Water Resources Dispatch at (727) 893-7261. Then call us to remove the water and start drying.
